The City of Truth or Consequences and Tech 45 Airport Management are happy to announce the start of our ramp rehabilitation, expansion, and self-serve fuel area re-positioning!

 

Construction has begun on the north side of the main ramp at the airport and will continue until early in the new year.

 

Please check NOTAMs regularly for updated information on airport facilities availability. We are excited about the changes and look forward to our new look in 2025!

Tech 45 hosted a fun fly-in event on June 1 at KTCS, drawing aviation enthusiasts and community members.

 

Larry Mullenax won "Best in Show," Ellis McMath took home "People's Choice," and Malikai Evans flew his paper airplane an impressive 100 feet! David Rains claimed the "Spot Landing Champion" title.

 

The event, complete with military aircraft, food, and vendors, underscored T or C's commitment to fostering a vibrant aviation community and offering memorable experiences for all participants.

Last year, we sent in a request for funding to the NM DOT for a number of safety-critical enhancements to the airport. These included eliminating the gravel area inside the gate to reduce FOD, moving the entrance gate to allow for less traffic across the ramp (for FOD reduction), moving the self-serve station over to the large fuel farm area, adding a self-serve JET A pump, and resurfacing the entire apron.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the New Mexico DOT Aviation Division for their generous grant, enabling us to acquire a state-of-the-art John Deere tractor and implements.

 

With these new additions, we're empowered like never before to maintain and enhance our airport facilities!

Our onsite manager, Chad Merrick, has put in some mighty hard labor to completely elevate our dirt runways to elite standards.

 

Thanks to the tractor grant generously provided by the NM DOT, we now boast some of the very best dirt runways in the country!

Thanks to a new tool acquired through a grant from the NM DOT aviation division, our airport attendants are now equipped with the FOD RAZOR, enhancing our ability to keep your ramp, runway, and taxiways clear of Foreign Object Debris (FOD).

 

This innovative tool has significantly reduced FOD while being gentler on concrete surfaces compared to our previous brush system on the bobcat.

Please remember to report any abnormal or concerning FOD at the airport ASAP so we can keep the airport safe!
